Just a hint for question 14. You should be able to calculate the Labour charge. Next, use the reverse percentages method to work out the Total before VAT. This should give you enough to work out the other amounts by subtraction.

In answer to your question, Yes!
You may recall that in class today I mentioned that the word gross means before deductions and the word deductions implies a decrease.
