Here’s the link to the slides on the work on Histograms and Moving Averages.

And here’s the homework questions to download. These are due in first lesson back.

Any problems getting them, please leave a comment here and I’ll work something out.

On Q3, the scale is odd..
like there are 4 numbers between the bold marks but these lengths are then sub-divided into 5 small squares !?
will questions be like this in the actual exam?

  • Mrs Tibble

    Hi Grace,

Just looked and, yes, it is going up in 0.8s! Frequency density scales can be odd like this so no need to panic if you see it. Frequencies ie areas, will be integers which is why freq density can have non-integer values.

    Have fun ;-)

Oh the joys. I am really looking forward to doing this (haha). Can you put more practice papers up?
And. sorry to sound like a broken record, but Mr King? First initial? Any ideas?

  • frey

    cheers miss.
I HAVE DONE THE MATHS H/W so if i forget it on the first lesson back, KNOW THAT I HAVE DONE IT.
that’s two S’ in the bio department. woohooo.

  • Mr Brewin

Yeah, as I mentioned in class, Freq Density is one of those dumb things where they make the numbers silly.

Freya – I will put some more papers up at some point… It’s all under control ;-) Don’t want to put loads up in case people feel burdened to do them all. Have a holiday if you’ve done everything else!

hi. i hope everyone is having a good easter.
just a quick question – when drawing a trend line on a moving averages graph do you do a dot to dot trend line or a line of best fit??

  • Mrs Tibble

For moving averages do dot-to-dot. Have fun!!

I hate revising maths any other way than doing papers. I am strange. i like papers. they don’t make me do the same thing over and over and over and over again. like /some/ people i coud mention. *glares*

  • Mr Brewin
