Hi Grace
√p x √p = p^1/2  x P ^1/2  therefore p^(1/2 + 1/2) = p

Which is obviously the same for cube roots
³√p x ³√p x ³√p = p^1/3 x p^1/3 x p^1/3  i.e.  p^(1/3+1/3+1/3) = p

So, what’s ³√p x ³√p?
P^1/3 x p^1/3 = p^(1/3+1/3)

= p^2/3

= (³√p )^2

Hope this helps
