What are the Grade boundaries?
Hi Katya,
Grade boundaries are usually slightly higher on the non calc than on the calc, but you are looking roughly for about 50% for a B, 72% for an A, and about 84 for an A*.

Thanks – I’ve got alot more revision to do then!
For question 17(b) on the calculator paper, i got 298 rather than 118. Don’t bearings go clockwise from the north?
Never mind – being stupid. Merry Christmas
mr williams,
in the non calculator paper i don’t understand question 22 and i looked on the answer sheet that you have posted but i am still confused? Can you explain it to me?
Hi Lizzie,
The formulae you need for volume of a cylinder and sphere are on the formula sheet.
Use the radius and height they give you, and work out the volume of water.
Now work out the volume of the sphere.
When you put the sphere in the water, the total volume is their sum.
The combination looks like a cylinder with the same radius as before but it has a new volume because the water will rise when you put the sphere in it.
Do new volume = pi x r-squared x new height
to get the new height
Difference between new and old is how much the water rises.
Happy revising
JT
I’ve tried looking at the edexcel website for more past papers, but I can’t seem to find any.
Could I please have a link?

You’ll need the school centre number to access them. It’s on your statement of entry or your results slips from the exams you’ve already taken. (5 digit number)
Thank you!
