Hi Ms T,

got it, thanks! Please do bring your s2 folder, as I have one other question (It shouldn't take very long, so then we can carry on with fp2!).

One final question, could you please help me with q7a from the D1 practice paper A? I have got:
200<x+y)<500
0.2(x+y)<x<o.4(x+y)
0.6(x+y)<y<0.8(x+y)
the non- negativity constraints
Objective Function: P=0.3x+0.4y
Is this correct?

Thanks,
Kiran

Hi Kiran,

2 - sigma = 2 - 0.816 = 1.184

1.184 < q1 so area will be more than 0.5.

OK?

JT

PS Would you like me to bring my S2 folder to tomorrow's FMaths lesson?

Hi Natania,

You had me confused then lol! Trying to remember where the D1 questions had surds!!!

Match the matrix with the general rotation matrix with cos and sin in it, and work out whhich angle works. You'll need to remember All Stations To Catford and cos45 = sin45 = 1 over root 2.

Hi Grace,
Just checked the spec and partial fractions is C4. Think he owes you extra biscuits ;-)

ooh, thanks for the offer but i'm off out right this minute and so I have no time!
Thanks for your help, See you tomorrow!

Hi Grace,
You need to partial fraction it first, then it turns into a method of differences one.
Have you done partial fractions? Can't remember which core unit it's in. If you haven't, then leave that question out and tell Mr Williams not to be so horrid to you!!
Fancy a cuppa?

Hello!
I was just wondering whether you could help me with some of my (Mr Williams - so Series) Further maths.

The question is:

Evaluate:

     20
     ∑ (1/r(r+1))
     r=1

It's the 1/ that's throwing me off.
Sorry that I can't show this in any better layout -I've done the best I can.

Thanks!
