Erin, one of us is going mad here! Is this the blue GCSE homework book because exercise 14a is on page 70 and doesn’t have a question 5.
Do you mean the percentage question? Are you doing your corrections?
You need to find the original wage. So think £187.20 is not equal to 100% but 104%.
So to find 100% you divide £187.20 by 104% then multiply your answer by 100% to find his wage before the increase.
