AHHHH
WHOOPS did that twice biba r you online
Hi Milly, I set things from both pages – a mixture of the two. Have you got it now?
Biba – not to worry. If you weren’t in don’t worry about the homework. Just get yourself better.
Kate – do you want to explain a bit more?
Hi Kate,
It’s not a simple shape so you need to split it up into two simple shapes, then add their areas together to get the total.
Mrs T
Hi mr brewin. i am in a bit of confusion over the homework… do we right sentences like “we then worked it out by….” or do we just do our calculations????
thanks!
You don’t need to write everything in full sentences, but you do need to write enough so that you can go back and know what you have done, and that I know how you have got your answers. Does that help? Hope so!
thnks mrs T.mr b-I forgot to write down how many pin boxes filled the table in the lesson.how do you work it out from the width this is the other important information i wrote down which might help 400×2430=972000 pin boxes
x150=145800000
thnks:)
dont worry mr b i got the question wrong anayway so i dint need to work it out
Kate, where would you put 146 million pin boxes? The mind boggles
2430 must be the amount of pin boxes becoz thats what my partner worked out like i said but i dont know how she got that answer from using the width and the lenght of the table.because it wasnt multiplying coz that dosent work.
arghhh confused!:(
i don’t think i was there when you did conversions from tons into kg and ml into litres
whats the due date for the maths maddy,mr b,anyone?
Hi Naomi,
1 tonne is 1000kg
1 litre is 1000ml
Mrs T
thanks mrs tibble
and i think the maths homework is due monday kate
i am not sure what t or m3 is??
for the homwork 3.4 page 16 can you use the each of the measurements once
quesion 3
does any one know the due date for the homework! >:(
gonna try out a few smileys:
: :S
t is tonnes. 1 metric tonne = 1000kg
And m3 is metres cubed… the standard volume unit we talked about in class.
And yes, you can use them only once I think.
Homework due on Monday!
Do we have any homework for the half term Mr Brewin
Hi Hannah,
Check your planner. If there’s nothing written in it, then you can relax
Have a good half term,
Mrs T
Thank you Mrs Tibble
I’m worried, did we get any homework from page 15 at any time?
Hi Helena,
I have no idea! But stop worrying about it – phone a friend
If there’s nothing in your planner, you’re probably OK.
Enjoy the rest of half term.
Mrs Tibble
Thanks Mrs Tibble
Hi Helena as far as I know we haven’t got any maths Homework from Mr Brewin

Hi Mrs Tibble I can do my Homework now. Thank you anyway.
hi i’m stuck on question 4 on negative numbers (page
pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help me
Hi Izzy,
It might help to draw yourself a number line – or a thermometer with + and – temperatures if that’s easier for you to work with.
Opposite pairs of numbers have to add up to -15 (the number in the middle) so you need to start at the number in one balloon and work out what should be in the opposite balloon so that you end up with -15 as your answer when you add them together.
In the example – yellow balloons – -8 and -7 makes -15
Hope that helps.
Mrs Tibble
